Tomomi - Faith

Goes well with peppermint herb tea in the afternoon. Or with warm water first thing in the morning.

You can buy the CD here.

Thank you, Tomoko! (sorry it took so long)

I saw that you are anchoring Taiwanese. Do you dislike it because it is difficult? I haven't heard your Taiwanese actually, but I kind of think Formosa TV's anchors generally are an octave to high with their Taiwanese. I dunno why, but it's just weirdly high-pitched, especially for Taiwanese.

Anyways, cool blog.

Yes, I dread it because I can hardly speak it and I'm not improving at all because they only have me do it once in a blue moon.

As for the high octave Taiwanese reading, I think you're right. Of the regular female Taiwanese anchors, one just has a naturally high pitched voice, but the two other ones have normal voices, and their reading voice stays normal. But for the voices behind the news stories, those are a big high indeed. But only one of the ladies who does the voice actually raises her pitch. Everyone else just seems to have high pitched voices...

Interesting that you noticed!
