Miaoli's Hakka rice ball soup 苗栗的客家湯圓



苗栗的客家湯圓  比小湯圓還要大,但裡面沒有包餡,所以吃起來特別彈牙,也嚐得到加了爆香過的油蔥,蝦米,香菇,豬肉的雞豬骨頭高湯裡面豐富的好滋味。

It's savory, indeed. And quite good. Some sauces and soups are made this way

For some reason, I was expecting a couple of "oh, that looks loaded with greasy fat" comments.
