Baenso Rouyansu 肉燕酥







鹽水特產肉燕酥
豬絞肉,魚漿洋蔥和香料餡,用比水餃還要厚的皮,包成餛飩樣,然後下去炸
老闆娘說熱湯沖下去,要軟不軟,酥酥軟軟的時候最好吃~

"Baenso" in Taiwanese or "Rouyansu" in Mandarin is a Yanshui, Tainan delicacy.
Are these wontons are are they dumplings? I'm not quite sure. The (just about neon) orange colored skin is thicker than dumpling skin, but the filling of ground pork, fish paste, onion and spices is wrapped in a shape of a wonton and then fried. The lady says it tastes the best when hot soup has been poured over it and it's just a little soft, yet crispy.


Not really my kind of thing, but lots of people like it. I do however LOVE what I'm going to show you in the next post. Stay tuned!
