What's he saying?

- hey, no taking pictures of my family!
- hey, where are you going? we're all over here!
- quack, quaack, quaaak!

I'm going nuts. I need a holiday!

Home base

Taipei is really a wonderful city. I was daydreaming the other day and thought if I ever get out of here and have lots of jobs all over Asia, I'd like to make Taipei my home base.

Here are some reasons why:
- Mom and Dad and the dogs are here
- convenient regional location - between Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Japan
- convenient city to live in - practically anything and everything is available, including top hotels, delicious restaurants, big malls, nice boutiques, tea houses, wonderful cafes, museums, night markets, good hospitals, low taxes
- lower living costs - you don't have to spend a lot to live comfortably
- not far from nature - everything is just a short drive or train ride away

Some pictures of beautiful Taiwan from an email being passed around.

What are you guys giggling about? 你們在笑什麼啊?

Sometimes when I walk by the SNG receiving room on the way to the lift or the ladies' room on the 15th floor, the technicians would giggle. And when I walk back and pass them again, they'd all start giggling again.

This is why.

This is a magnet Benefit (cosmetics company) passed out as part of PR, and it reminded them so much of me that they've stuck it in the receiving room, and it's been there since god knows when. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

What do you think?
Michella 公仔?

In any case, I swiped it from them and it's now next to my computer. Haven't decided whether to return it or not. Heh heh heh.
