Day off - Mom, flowers and yukata!
After picking up orchids and herbs at the Wenlin flower market, Mom and I had lunch at Nonzero. Thanks, Mom!
And I wore a yukata.
Had to get out the cheat sheat Mama drew me four? five? years ago. Turned out OK. Except it's a really big yukata. Looking forward to putting it on again. Just hope I have someone else to iron it out for me afterwards...

Ok I've been reading your blog for a hwile now and I'm really curious. What is your connection to Japan? It seems like you did more than just study there. Sorry if the question is too personal.
Hi jcr,
Sorry for the late reply!
I was there for 2,5 years, living mostly with my godmother and grandparents (her parents). My extended family and friends I made there really showed me a good time. Unlike most of my foreign student peers, I think I really got a feel of Japan, and really, really enjoyed my time there. I still go back at least once a year to see family and friends and to be somewhere different, but yet familiar.
