Hi Michella! Wiggles is SUPER cute!

Thanks for replying to my message, I was very happy!

To answer your question: I took a degree in Translation from Spain and one in Chinese Studies to the UK. I had a good friend who was in Taipei with a scholarhsip and convinced me to move there (before that, I had spent a year in Beijing). So in 1995, I packed my suitcase and went to Taipei with a one-way ticket.

While in Taipei, I first did a bit of teaching and studying. Then I worked for a Taiwanese export and import company, and then got a job with the British Council. I was Director of Education for 7 years there. In 2004, I was posted to Malaysia, so I sadly left Taiwan. I was in Malaysia for 4 years, and then my husband and I decided to move here to Barcelona (I hadn't lived back home for 17 years!).

Now we are very excited because we will be in Taipei for Christmas. I can't wait to be back and meet all my old friends. We are doing a small music tour there, doing a couple of public performances (one of them for charity), and a lot of performances and masterclasses for Universities and Schools. My husband plays the violin, he is accompanied by a very good Spanish pianist and I am the concert presenter! Should be fun!

Wow, that's a really interesting path! Have a nice stay in Taipei in December. I'm sure you'll enjoy yourselves to the fullest. :D
